Meet Marci
I am a portrait photographer and an entrepreneur. I first picked up my camera in 2006 and for the last 16+ years I have been a child and family photographer. More recently I merged my two passions and began to specialize in personal branding photography for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Why headshots and branding?
I love this question! I have been an entrepreneur or had a passion for entrepreneurship since college. My Dad was an entrepreneur and owned his own business up until he retired and I knew someday I too wanted to be my own boss. My first job was at Ernst & Young in the entrepreneurial services auditing department working with small businesses and startup companies.
My first break into being a sole proprietor was when I left the corporate world and became my own boss as a realtor. After having my first child my passion for photography emerged. In 2006 I launched my photography business and have been a professional photographer since. A few years ago after a second relocation I took a little break from photography to focus on my family needs and started another side business. My skincare business gave me more time freedom and more flexibility when I needed it most, not to mention great skin. However, if I am being honest I missed (as in actually grieved the loss) of my photography business.
In the process I met a lot of amazing women, moms and entreprenuers and found that I really loved helping people start and grow their own businesses too. Owning a business myself and having worked with many business owners I really understood and could appreciate the need for personal branding especially in this social media market that we live in today. I love that I get to help women (and men too) showcase themselves, their business and tell their brand story through visual media.
More about Marci
These are my favorite people and a few of my favorite things. When I am not spending time with my family you will likely find me with my camera in my hand. I consider myself a life long learner, so I am continually developing and growing my photography skills but also like to learn new things for personal fulfillment too. May be the DIY’er in me or just the love of the challenge. I absolutely love to travel. I love to experience new places for the perspective you gain and the connections you find with those you are traveling with or meet along the way.
